bildsoe, This would be a highly non-scientific suggestion, but could you (somehow...) batch the number of intersections into smaller chunks of say 100 to 200 intersections at a time? I don't know if that would improve the overall performance, or be feasible in your case, but that always seems to make things go quicker in Rhino/GH.
