Hi! I'm looking for informations / solutions regarding the panelisation of a freeform surface into planar hexagonal meshes. What I have found till now is a paper from the First Symposium on Architectural Geometry, Vienna ( http://www.architecturalgeometry.at/aag08/aag08proceedings-papers_and_poster_abstracts.pdf , page 58, it's quite a big pdf, but worth having I think). This is the kind of effect I want to achieve, but it seems quite hard to do. Had anyone already tried this in VB or Grasshopper? Any other suggestion?
