hi all, Sorry for reposting. But I didn't get a response from the list , so I thought maybe the mail never found it's way. I wish to create a customized GIS to update the locations of different entities. I think the following approach should work :- Store the entities and their locs in a postgres DB. Update the locs whenever the same change using some kind of user interface with postgre. Write a script to keep displaying the entities on map display. The script should run continously.
I wish to know :- Do I need to have postGIS enabled for that. Is the concept alright and do I need anything else ? Is there a easier or any already existing solution for something similar ? Thanks nishith
