one answer i'dd get is the following: "Kibana doesn't join as a node, you will probably find it is graylog2 that does. The same thing happens when you run logstash with the node protocol.
With the current release the only way to get around this is to not use the node protocol but use http or transport, but unsure if graylog2 can do that."
