I was told to ask questions here and am having problems getting Graylog installed. After attempting to install 0.9 from this script https://github.com/mrlesmithjr/graylog2/blob/master/install_graylog2_90_ubuntu.sh and having problems, I was told to just upgrade to 1.0. All I have done on my 1.0 install was follow the official guide to download 1.0, extract, and attempt the command "./graylogctl start" I did not know how to remove the old install of graylog 0.9 so I planned on installing 1.0 right on top of it.
I have played with Linux but am new to command line software installation like Graylog so I'm a bit slow and learning more about it all daily. Here is my /etc/graylog.conf: http://paste.ubuntu.com/10554027/ and my /etc/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.yml: http://paste.ubuntu.com/10554027/ I am getting this error message when trying the to start graylogctl: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: INFO: os::commit_memory(0x00000000b0000000, 536870912, 0) failed; error='Cannot allocate memory' $ # # There is insufficient memory for the Java Runtime Environment to continue. # Native memory allocation (malloc) failed to allocate 536870912 bytes for committing reserved memory. # An error report file with more information is saved as: # /home/chris/Downloads/graylog-1.0.0/hs_err_pid26769.log Any help is greatly appreciated.
