I ended up using this link for the install.

It was the most complete link that I could fine for Ubuntu LTS.  We have 
been running it for about a week and are somewhat pleased.  We are torn 
between this and ELK.  There seems to be more polish for Graylog, but ELK 
has a lot more scripts and nuggets out there.  I think this will come with 
time, but I would recommend caution if you plan to be running "out of the 
box".
