So I've solved the api connection issue and am able to login to the main page now. However I am still seeing stack traces in the server.log file on the graylog server. I have set the timeout in /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_keepalive_time to 300 seconds, per the mongodb documentation https://docs.mongodb.com/v2.6/faq/diagnostics/. When this happens the graylog dashboard goes to error as described in my previous post, and then returns shortly once mongodb reconnects.
