Folks,

Rookie user here. I've just installed the newest Graylog and it's
operational.

I configured my Socniwall syslog (UDP 514) to forward to my graylog
virtual machine ip. In Graylog web panel, i created an INPUT>.Syslog UDP
and indicated listen to BIND IP of my sonicwall LAN interface, but i am
unable to see any logs on Graylog. This error shows up in my graylog web
panel.

An input has failed to start
Input 581ff9fe0bd8a10640e27d50 has failed to start on node
4f49b90f-8064-4b20-8158-3fc76780f927 for this reason: »Cannot assign
requested address.«. This means that you are unable to receive any messages
from this input. This is mostly an indication for a misconfiguration or an
error.

Graylog server, my PC, and Sonicwall LAN IP are all in the same subnet and
can ping each others.

What else shall i try. Am i missing something?
