So Greasemonkey was NOT designed for installation on multiple machines
at once? I am trying to configure multiple machines to have the addon
but we need the toolbar icon to not be visible for certain security
reasons. users will still be able to access it through Tools and we
are fine with that but we just want to be able to hide the icon.

A lock file is a way to lock particular preferences so that they are
not modifyable. My particular lock file aka cfg file had those
settings in place. Setting 0.9.3 prevents the Welcome/Thanks for
installing webpage to appear and the other setting should be set to
false to prevent the inseerting of the toolbar button but it does not
work.

I just need to be able to deploy this and keep the icon hidden from
the toolbar.

Anyone have any ideas?...it seems ridiculous that this would work in
any version prior to 4 but now the functionality is gone.
