Sorry, Anthony's reply was blocked by the spam-filter (who unfortunately
was overreacting a bit too often lately), so I didn't see that there was
a "better" solution than ACR. Yet this information applies for all other
FF releases that are not supported by GM.
Btw: Who else has got the feeling that due to Mozilla's
Firefox-Update-Mania you can hardly use any non-mainstream add-on
without ACR anymore? Seeing that I would probably have to disable 4 or 5
with every update again, I think ACR has become the only way too keep
Firefox as useful as it is to me, which is only possible with my
add-ons. Sad, sad... =(
