Is there a GM script that can automatically expand comments on websites like the latimes.com?
This issue isn't new. Once upon a time proletarians could comment about stuff on the internet. Now, the approved authors write articles that get printed on the top blogs and new sites no problem, but the comments about them are tightly regulated and controlled. Their goal is obviously to make it difficult for the non-elites to communicate with one another. So one has to click ~100 times on ">> [see] more", "see older articles", and similar boxes to actually be able see what normal people think about the rubbish they post. Worse, many comment are deleted, but that isn't something any client script can fix. At the latimes.com website they have IMO crossed a line, and are now cleverly using code that blanks the entire screen if anyone like me does a large copy of comment text. Disqus <https://disqus.com/> will probably clone this feature soon. The GM code would need to search for strings like ">> more", "see older articles", etc., simulate a mouse click, and go to the next hit. Any comments about prior scripts doing something like this would be most appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "greasemonkey-users" group.
