Bookmarklets are dying due to CSP. (Content Security Policy) See: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=866522
I suggested a new "Jazzlets" (JSlets) add-on extension to replace them. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2958521 But extensions are being completely revamped soon in Firefox. It would be nice to have Jazzlets be incorporated into Greasemonkey. Basically, instead of auto-executed scripts based on URL inclusion rules, there would be a new toolbar that is basically like the current Bookmark toolbar where bookmarklets are currently stored, that would call Greasemonkey scripts based on clicking an icon in that toolbar. I think more or less like the Greasemonkey menu options, but executed via an icon click in a toolbar. (which is nicer and faster than having to do a menu drop-down user-action) So maybe the only thing that would need to be done is to add the new toolbar interface? This would actually be better than bookmarklets. I think. (?) Thoughts? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "greasemonkey-users" group.
