Ecotourism Society of Pakistan (ESP) has closed down its "Save Margallah Hills Desk" after assurance of international bodies to support the cause of saving Margallah Hills. The ESP is especially thankful to Director General IUCN Mr. Achim Steiner for his encouraging response over the issue. ESP believes that the issue which was raised through its desk has successfully attracted the attention of responsible organizations and people therefore achieved its target. In his meeting held the other day, ESP Core Members decided to closed down the Desk and also decided to open "Peace through Tourism Desk" on the report of its President Agha Iqrar Haroon to raise the issue of conflicts in mountain areas of South Asia and will especially address the issue of "Interfaith Harmony" which is the need of the day to minimize conflicts in mountain areas.
