A Dalit panchayat has called for a Haryana bandh tomorrow to protest the torching of over 60 Dalit houses at Gohana.
The mahapanchyat has also demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident.
On Wednesday, close to 60 dalit houses were torched in Gohana town in Sonepat district of Haryana.
The police has registered FIRs against 23 people and arrested four others.
'Police indifference'
Alleging police inaction in a murder case, a group of people belonging to the Jat community torched the houses.
The police had to fire 12 shots in the air to bring the situation under control.
According to reports, the Jat community here is enraged over the 'police indifference' in investigating the murder of a financier, who was a Jat.
The people have also demanded that the police launch a fresh investigation into the murder.
