UK-CMS ENVIRONMENT FILM FELLOWSHIPS
Dear Friends,
Vatavaran 2005, India's premier environment and wildlife film festival, invites applications from Indian Environment Filmmakers for the UK-CMS Environmental Film Fellowships. The British High Commission and British Council India are collaborating with Centre for Media Studies in awarding the UK-CMS Environmental Film Fellowships on Climate Change. Four such film fellowships will be awarded to filmmakers who display a commitment to environmental issues through their films. Each Fellowship is worth Rs 6,00,000.
The fellowships will be announced at the Award presentation ceremony of Vatavaran on 24 November 2005 in New Delhi.
Who is eligible?
· The Fellowships are granted to documentary filmmakers for creating films that are "unique and contribute to a greater understanding of Climate Change issues".
· Young and upcoming independent filmmakers from across the country.
· Indian citizens between 21 - 40 years of age.
· The Fellowships are open to a team of filmmaker/s and environmental scientists.
How to Apply?
Applicants should submit a detailed synopsis of not more than three pages along with the application form for consideration. The topicality of the proposal and treatment are weighted equally with the applicant's relevant experience/skills. We are looking for original, topical and socially relevant ideas related to the Impact of Climate Change on Health, Agriculture, Bio-diversity, Forests, and Coastal Zone.
