Remand prisoner dead

MALAPPURAM: A remand prisoner at Perinthalmanna sub-jail died at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on Friday.
Leon Raj, 28, was removed to Medical College Hospital after he vomited blood at the jail on Thursday. He died on Friday evening.
Raj was taken into custody by the police from Kuttipuram on July 1 after he was found moving in suspicious circumstances. He was remanded to judicial custody.
He hailed from Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu. Doctors said he suffered from blood cancer.
