1.Who asked for Instituting a Thantrik University in Kerala?

2.Despite himself being a die-hard atheist and marxist, what made him to be
fascinated by the idea to set up a Thantrik Varsity, "wherein top Hindutwa
scholars, vedic exponents and spiritual gurus would be roped in as faculty
members with a view to inspecting temples, making sure that spiritual
practices are up to the required standards",in the context of a hearing by
Justice Paripoornan Commission probing into the alleged corruption in the
Devaswom Board?

3.If the thantri has confessed to the Commission of no knowledge of
Sanskrit, vedas and manthras , does it really mean that remedying that
aspect would instantly guarantee cleansing of the Devaswom Board, which in
turn,is a secular institution expected to be governed by a secular
constitution?

4. The critical examination by Dr.Ambedkar of nearly the entire text of
Brahmanic scriptures, thantras & manthras has rewarded a wealth of knowlege
and profuse insights into how and why the form of inequality, viz, Caste is
uniquely perpetuated in this country since several centuries. Not many
intellectuals
and researchers including 'marxists' (perhaps barring few) have challenged
Ambedkar's critique of Hinduism, which in turn has only added further
credence to the fact that those Brahmanical texts are absolutely devoid of
any epistemological content whatsoever.
5.It may please be noted that in the traditions, the brahman priest chanting
scriptures, vedas or mantras by rote , is neither essentially expected to
know their meaning , nor the listener be enlightened with its content of
wisdom.
V.T.Bhatathiripad the renowned reformer of Nambuthiris and exponent of
womens' rights had to point out this in his biography, albeit in another
context of remembering his horrible childhood of vedapadhanam sessions. He
was literally initiated to the world of literacy by one his much younger
girl friends from a lower shudra caste.( the showed him an
advertisement of manmark
kudakal from a Malayalam newspaper and eventually taught him how to read and
write. V.T. remembers this moving incident as one of the turning points in
his life to understand identify his mission of reforming the Malayalee
Namboodiri to a human being
6.On the contrary, the brahmanical scriptures, manthras and thanthras
continue to serve as a convenient tool in the hands of the cultural
commissars and the ruling elites to hoodwink people, to suppress the right
of majority of Indians and women of all castes to live with honour.
