Quite true Mahtab. But as you know, that's not all the Mainstream Media blacked out. They gave some sporadic coverage at least to the demonstrations you mention - they completely blacked out the procession and dharna of construction workers that took place the same day (barring tiny reports in Hindustan (Hindi) and Nai Duniya and a slightly larger on in Jansatta). The working class is the most invisible of them all... Laws made for them are violated blatantly, they are not even dignified with the recognition that they are poor (kept out of BPL lists) and they are often migrants subjected to the assaults of Raj and Bal Thackerays - but for the media and the ruling class, they are persona non grata.
