The teachings of Confucius are famous . “You should not torture someone weaker than you”. He said . Nobody will try to torture someone stronger than them . It is the weak point that is always targeted . Modern society sees weakness of any sort as something inferior and respect qualities which are aspects of strength . So there is always an attempt to become stronger and wealthier. There are many good qualities which are seen in people who are characterized as weak . But nobody cares that . Students in schools are taught to be stronger , nations are trying to become stronger by acquiring deadly weapons , Young men and women are trying to become stronger by acquiring more money etc . What will happen if we become weak ? Darwin says “ Our body and mind is not programmed for success or failure , it is programmed for survival . We face threats from nature , people who are stronger than us , people who are wealthier than us . Modern democratic states could not change this inherent nature of living things to conquer weaker ones . This is the point where imperialism flourished , fascist regimes strengthened , religions attained growth . This is the point where Gandiji’s non violence fails . Zizek said “ Gandi killed more people than Hitler “. This is true . Non violence could not resist the machine guns of British soldiers . Lala lajpat rai was killed after a brutal attack by british soldiers. Thousands of people including children were murdered by the british .They did only one mistake . They listened to Gandi’s erroneous philosophy . Karl popper says “ A tolerant society cannot resist intolerance “ . A society who believes in non violence cannot resist an act of violence from some other society . Defense is very important . It is for the sake of defense that we need to prepare ourselves . There is no ambiquity in the teachings’s of marx in the attitude towards violence . Marx prefers a peaceful and democratic development towards socialism ,if we can have it. But as a political realist , he foresee the probability that the bourgeoisie will not quietly stand by when the chance of a socialist state is coming near . They will rather attempt to destroy it . in this case , Marx says” we must not flinch , but fight back and conquer political power “.Infact , Marxism predicts that the revolution will come as a result of the increasing pressure of capitalism upon the workers , and not as a result of increasing pressure of working class movements “ . Engles says “ one fine day , bourgeoisie will grow tired of , watching the rapidly increasing strength of socialism , and will have recourse to illegality and violence “ . Modern communist parties think that violence is an easy way to crush the opponents . Even though being strong is not worthier than being weak , we must try to become stronger in order to defend ourself from the proponents of all forms of cruelty including imperialism and capitalism .
