The Eyes of Maudany are Staring at Us: It pains me very deeply to watch a photograph of Abdul Nasar Maudany with bandage over his eyes. Former Justice VR Krishna Iyer repeatedly said till his own death that `Abdul Nasar Maudany is not a terrorist and he is just another fabricated case like thousands of other innocents suffering in Indian jails'. Abdul Nasar Maudany is a victim of terrorism. First, the RSS terrorists threw a bomb at him and he lost one leg. Then the State terrorists put him in jail for no reason for nine and a half years in Coimbatore jail. Since there was no proof for the case against him, the court released him. But there was no compensation for wasting his life for nine and a half years in jail and no action on those who fabricated him. Now, for around five years he has been suffering in Bangalore jail without proper medical treatment. It is a shame for the machineries of the executive, legislature and judiciary mechanisms in this country that a prominent citizen, a spiritual leader like him had to fight in court for a long time, just for his medical treatment when all those who commit the crimes come out of jails on false medical grounds. Everybody including the police machinery knows that his case is fabricated, for as per the RTI received from the Home Department of Kerala, the Kerala police admitted that `Abdul Nasar Maudany had not visited Coorg to plan out any terrorism activities as per the allegation of the Karnataka police, he had only visited 11 places’. And Coorg was never mentioned in their statement. Today, as a victim of terrorism, he is losing his eyes and the only remaining leg is paralised, due to justice terrorism. Only a consistent mass expression of a people's movement can open the eyes of the State machinery. The eyes of Abdul Nasar Maudany are too important for us. To believe that we are citizens of this country ruled by the Indian Constitution drafted by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, a man who was consistently mentioned by Maudany in his speeches with great respects. If Abdul Nasar Maudany can regain his sight as a free man, it can provide a signal for the people in this country to hope that justice in India can regain its sight. The eyes of Abdul Nasar Maudany can not see today. But they are watching all of us as citizens of this country. And these eyes will watch us forever. These eyes will constantly watch not only those who believe in struggle for a heaven on earth but also those who believe in life in a heaven after death. For those wish to open their eyes on this issue, please watch our documentary film `Fabricated’. I humbly request all those who have seen the film to use it to their best efforts to open the eyes of others. Here is the link:
