At the level of appearance, the term `Make in India’ looks like a beautiful achievement. The question is who makes in India and who loses in India. The claims of achievement of Modi’s meetings with the global corporations in the United States make one wonder: Is global capitalism becoming a charitable organisational network to help India? The only thing we missed in Indian history was a Narendra Modi to invite East India Company to `Make in India’ a few centuries back. And while Modi is meeting the corporations , Pope Franicis is meeting the losers in the United States. Isn’t it a contrast?
