Content:
The presentation will cover what we know of the nuclear arsenals of
India and Pakistan, their fissile material production capacities,
nuclear weapon use doctrines, the role of the United States (nuclear
deal, NSG, China containment strategy), and the risks of nuclear
weapon use.
The presentation will be followed by discussions.

About M.V. Ramana:
M.V. Ramana is with the Nuclear Futures Laboratory and the Program on
Science and Global Security at Princeton University, and the author of
The Power of Promise: Examining Nuclear Energy in India (Penguin
Books, 2012). He is a member of the International Panel on Fissile
Materials (IPFM) and the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a
Leo Szilard Award from the American Physical Society.

About Anand Patwardhan:
Anand Patwardhan is an Indian documentary filmmaker known for his
socio-political, human rights oriented films. Several of his films
cover the rise of religious fundamentalism, sectarianism and casteism
in India while others explore growing nuclear nationalism and
unsustainable development.  Notable films include Bombay: Our City
(Hamara Shahar) (1985), In Memory of Friends (1990), In the Name of
God (Ram ke Nam) (1992), Father, Son, and Holy War (1995), A Narmada
Diary (1995), War and Peace (2002) and Jai Bhim Comrade (2011), which
have won national and international awards.
