Today's Times of India, Mumbai edition, on its front page, near the top on the right side, carries a news item with the caption: 'BJP rules 19 states, more than Cong ever did, emotional PM tells MPs'.
It's still available at: <https://www.pressreader.com/ india/the-times-of-india-mumbai-edition/20171221/281535111351159> and < https://www.pressreader.com/india/the-times-of-india-mumbai-edition/textview >. Interestingly, the e-paper, Mumbai edition, has modified it to: "Indira’s Cong had 18 states but BJP rules in 19, emotional PM tells MPs'. (It's, for sure, supposed to be the exact replica of the print edition.) The claim being so glaring and obvious lie. To be fair, Modi himself, apparently, had compared his performance, while addressing the BJP MPs at the parliamentary party meeting yesterday, with "Indira" and not "Congress ever". The editorial policy of acting as the drumbeater of Modi, without any sense of shame - let alone balance, has, understandably, pushed the reporter, Akhilesh Singh, over the edge. Noteworthy is the fact, that he is no rookie journalist: <<Akhilesh Kumar Singh is a senior assistant editor at The Times of India in Jaipur. He started his career in journalism with Pioneer in 1996 and then worked with Hindustan Times before joining The Times of India. >> (Source: <https://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/author/ akhileshkumarsingh/>.) -- Peace Is Doable -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Green Youth Movement" group.
