Note: In a business as usual scenario, industrialists from Western India wish to aggravate the crisis in Ganga river basin by bulldozing Ganga Waterway project. They want to earn profit at the cost of Ganga. They wish to monetize land, water and minor minerals. Their bottom line is profit at any cost. Wittingly or unwittingly, they who talk about issues of Ganga's water quality and quantity become complicit in the business as usual scenario. Government and World Bank's focus on quality alone is deeply flawed. Technocrats and consultants of all shades have no interest in Aviral Ganga. Their core interest is consultancy fee.
