Here's the official media briefing on the (brainstorming?) meet of the
Rashtra Manch at Sharad Pawar's residence in Delhi (at the initiative of
Yashwant Sinha).

It's, as of now, fairly hazy.
Still it looks like, it aspires to become a think tank +, on the national
plane, for anti-BJP politics.

That, by its very nature, poses some sort of challenge to the Congress - as
the natural, and default, epicentre.
As, as of now, the ideational alternatives/critiques keep coming from only
the Congress and, to an extent, pretty enfeebled Left.

On the flip side, it offers some hope of acting as a catalytic agent
facilitating formation of a broader anti-BJP front - based on a (common)
programme and, thereby, also ensuring some cohesion, with wider public
acceptability.
