Here we may remind ourselves that the agitating farmers have urged all
Indians to boycott Adani-Ambani, as the three farm laws - now scrapped,
were, understandably, enacted in a rush, by brazenly trampling upon set
democratic procedures, in order to benefit the duo, in particular, apart
from as a move towards corporatisation of agriculture.
So the duo is considered the villain of the piece.

In any case, the close bonding between the duo and Modi is all too visible.
And as Mamata returns to Kolkata from her trip to Mumbai, Adani also
travels to the state capital to confabulate with her in her office -
evidently at her invitation extended during her sojourn.

It's, obviously, a blatant act of treachery, on the part of Mamata, against
the still agitating farmers.
It also provides us with a clear glimpse into the type of "alternative"
that she offers to Modi.
Also the way she's emerging as a lifeline to the evil regime - out to
overrun "India", in its moment of gathering difficulties.

<<Some of her party colleagues are inclined to believe, and actually take
pride in, describing Mamata Banerjee as more Left than the Left. Some, like
state education minister Bratya Basu, at present touring Mumbai with the
Benagl chief minister, has often said that she is a communist.

On Wednesday, during an interaction with rights activists and performing
artistes in Mumbai, Mamata had a more BJP than the BJP moment.

“The country needs Adani-Ambani as well as farmers,” said the Bengal chief
minister in reply to a query from activist Medha Patkar with whom she had
once shared cordial ties during her days in the Opposition when Mamata was
leading the combined Opposition against the Left Front’s land acquisition
policy.

Mamata’s comment puts her in direct confrontation with Congress leader
Rahul Gandhi, who has often taken jibes at Narendra Modi and called out his
proximity to business houses led by Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani as
examples crony capitalism.

The three farm laws that the Narendra Modi government was forced to repeal
on the first day of the winter session of Parliament after more than a
year’s continuous street-trooping by farmers at the Delhi-Haryana border,
were believed to have been framed keeping corporate interests in mind.

That Mamata is on a "Congress-mukt Bharat" mission became clearer on the
second day of her visit to Mumbai after her meeting with Maratha strongman
and NCP leader Sharad Pawar, though her "project" has met with little
success thus far.>>
