I've put the instructions on the webpage for the case where PDF cannot be included. The problem of this case is that the produced PDF is extremely heavy. For a very basic test: 863kB with a basic pdf included as an image at 600dpi against 70kB with the same pdf included directly (and thus with a much better result), which means more than 10 times the weight...
