Mr. McKenna,

No, when I installed Gregorio, it did not configure Texworks for me - in fact, the installer failed every time on that installer option. So I opened Texworx and configured it myself.

Now, I installed texlive to c:\texlive, and gregorio to c:\texlive\gregorio

Open up the texworks editor, go to Edit>Preferences>Typsesetting.
Now adjust all the paths here to match your configuration.

You have to manually add to this Typesetting list, the directory for:
c:\texlive\gregorio\tex

Make sure you have copied the gregorio\tex directory to
C:\texlive\texmf\tex\latex or C:\texlive\texmf-local\tex\latex
and ran the command:
texhash which loads the directory into the configuration.

I followed your thread on the list with great interest however the problem I am facing at the moment appears to be different. With this installation all the file copies appear to be done correctly and I can make the changes to the gregoriotex.tex file and run updmap with no problems. What is happening is that the Gregorio installer is not updating the TeXworks editor to recognize Gregorio as a compile option thus not allowing me to even begin to compile the gabc files. I can recompile the PDF files from the main.tex and <name>.tex, but it does encounter some errors. Below are the errors.

Mr. Mckenna,

Have you tried the steps I took to install Gregorio under Windows 7? I used XP for a long time. I don't see that anything would be different at all.

My Windows 7 Gregorio thread starts here:http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01086.html

But I have a nice solution posted here:
