This report says that Acrobat 8 (I have 9.5.5) had an issue with Type 3 fonts that had missing operators.

Now, the pdf that gregorio produces is just fine.
But when I embed that in an InDesign document and export as a new pdf, there are issues.

Here is what gets produced - see all those funny parenthesis?

Does anyone have a clue about this?
I've tried different settings in InDesign, It changes the first letters of the eror,
'ILNKFI+greciliae'.
to something else:
'PWBWLP+greciliae'.
so I imagine it is just a dynamic variable prepended to the embedded font name.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5.

I can see in FontCreator that there are no embedding restrictions. What else could it be?

Hi all!

I took my gregorio-pdf output and placed it in an InDesign CS5 file, and in turn exported the InDesign file to pdf.

Now, when I go to open the PDF file in Adobe Reader, it says,
"Cannot extract the embedded font 'ILNKFI+greciliae'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."

Wow - I've not seen that before in my other work.
Any clues?
