Dear All,

First, I'm sorry for my lack of involvement during the last few month,
there were personal and professional reasons for that, but it will
certainly change soon. I'm sorry also for not having taken time to take
care of the mess created by the shifting of character numbers...

The most important news is that I my quite old wish to make a
fundraising campaign to be able to work on Gregorio full-time has
finally come true: I was contacted by people at
http://funding.openinitiative.com/, and they proposed to integrate
Gregorio to a fund raising campaign that will start tomorrow, along with
a few other projects. Here is the page dedicated to Gregorio:

http://funding.openinitiative.com/funding/2017

I've calculated the prices by applying a relatively cheap hourly rate,
and including a contribution I already received for Ancient notation
implementation. The campaign starts tomorrow, and I have to admit that
I've done it a bit in a hurry. Please tell me what you think about it,
even if it's negative.

Also, there is an idea I got and I don't really know how it's possible
that I haven't got it before: I'm thinking about setting up a server
with \BlueLaTeX or ShareLaTeX software, but with a working Gregorio
installation... As it is something I'll have to maintain, I don't think
it would be free, but it wouldn't be more than around 5€ per month...
What do you think about this idea?

Finally, just for developers: I'm currently building
https://github.com/gregorio-project/gregorio
that will be the new code repository. Svn is really prehistorical
compared to git, and I admit it's very difficult to use it for me now
that I'm used to git. I believe it will be one less obstacle for more
involvement on my side.

Thank you,
--
Elie
