Okay, it is indeed a space-in-name issue.

I renamed the font to simply "Horst" and the processor loaded and used it just fine.

Okay, so I know well now that lualatex won't load fonts if they are installed via shortcuts - the fonts have to actually exists in C:\Windows Fonts.

So I have a font called "Horst Medium" that I want to use for capitals, so I try to load it like this:
\newfontface\Horst{Horst Medium}

I know the font exists in the Windows Fonts Folder, and I know its name is Horst Medium.

But it does not load, and I get this error "HorstMedium" cannot be found.

The first thing I notice is that it reports "HorstMedium" can't be found - not "Horst Medium". I wonder if it can't find it because it is removing the spaces and it isn't supposed to. I have had this same problem with other fonts that use a space in their names.

I tried with this too:
\newfontface\Horst{Horst}

but I get the same font-not-found error.

Am I just doing something wrong, or is it broken?
