I keep getting the following error:

I've traced the problem to using the Acorn font as the initial font.

\newcommand*\initfamily{\usefont{U}{Acorn}{xl}{n}}
The offending code seems to be:
\grechangestyle{initial}{\initfamily\fontsize{36}{36}\selectfont\textcolor{red}}
How should I go about choosing the initial font? The code I used in
