The 35328 was luaotfload v.2.5 (file dates up to 14 August, so probably
v.2.5-fix-4 on the luaotfload github), and the current (39093) version is
v.2.6-fix-2.
The change history simply says:

* Separate module loading from initialization.
* Custom fontloader package with the files from Lualibs removed.
* Swappable fontloader via configuration option.
* Lualibs are now a dependency when used in a TeX run as well.
* Respect interword spaces when letterspacing.

To what do 35328 and 39093 refer? I'd like to see the differences to
see if I can figure out how to "fix" gregorio or if it's a bug that must
