Dear All, I've recently discovered something that might interest you, especially if you compile small documents often:
https://github.com/kalrish/luatex-lua-module-cache-manager this caches and compiles lua files during the first compilation, and allows a compilation around 500ms faster, which is quite noticeable when compiling small documents, but not so much on big documents.
