First, please send these sorts of inquiries to the mailing list, not me
directly. While I'm happy to help (and will do so through the mailing
list as well), I don't always have the time or the answers to every
question. You're much better off sending to the list where anyone can
help you.
As for your particular problem:
I need to use my accent letter (à, ì, è, ù)
but when TexWork compile ignore this letter.
If I use the accent type é I can see the accent.
The file must not be encoded as UTF-8, but in something where é happens
to be in the same location as it is in UTF-8, but the others are not.
Unfortunately, once the file is saved in a non-UTF-8 encoding, TeXworks
will happily continue to open and save it in the non-UTF-8 encoding.
The option only effects newly created documents, not existing ones. To
force it to switch encodings you need to do the following:
1) Add `% !TEX encoding = UTF-8 Unicode` to the top of the document.
2) Save the document manually. DO NOT rely on any autosaving feature
for this. You must go through the Save dialog, even if saving over the
same name.
3) Close TeXworks.
4) Reopen you document and try compiling it again. It should now be in
the right encoding so that the accented characters come through.
There are also command-line utilities out there that can help with this
process if you have a whole bunch of documents to do.
