Revert "[gropdf]: Trivially refactor."
This reverts commit 0833f98c20ce42da75d40027b5000a715c295225.
All this commit did was add a primitive form of a better ChangeLog entry
that came in with accompanying changes. The duplication was an
unintended result of some furious rebasing last week.
