*raises hand* I am one of those who don't know what they're doing -- at least as regards the build system. When I build groff from git, I blindly follow the recipe Bertrand posted a few years ago (http://lists.gnu.org/r/groff/2020-11/msg00068.html), which starts with the "./bootstrap" step. Is the above saying this step should be removed, or replaced with something else? Or does this change only apply to tarballs, not git pulls?
