I have now downlaoded the .dmg from the Growl-website and installed
Growl AND GrowlMail.
Still the message comes on.

So, I couldn't have done anything wrong during installation?

Still, either deinstallation or no more pop-up window before Mail
starts. one of both I would like to achieve.
