This issue is actually a bug with many (all?) displays.. at least iCal (the one i use) is affected majorly.
As it only had a small gap in the first place, it has no gap in the 1.2 betas, despite the WindowController.m stating it has a 5.0 padding.. Is this figure ignored somehow? I've tried to pick apart the code to find out why, but my level of cocoa doesn't stretch that far.
