My intention was to answer this person's question, which I think I
did. He or she asked how to remove Growl and I pointed him or her to a
web page describing how to do it. I don't understand how that is being
a jerk?

P.S. I find it remarkable that people's first instinct when they have
trouble is to take the time to subscribe to a mailing list, post to
said list, and then wait for a response, when a Google search would
have yielded the same results in seconds. I guess that's just me
though. :-(
