Jordan,

Just thought you might have 'Stuffit', and that it could inflict on
your download-process. My copy of 'Stuffit' opens two of every
download. I have set it to work with VirusBarrierX4 and SpeedDownlade
5.2.5. As long as it scans my downloads, I don't mind the 2. copy -
that one goes right to the trash.

As for your main Q's: Are you sure that all the apps talking to Growl
are of the latest flavour? The latest Safari seems to have a few
hiccups. This is not only related to Growl. I have experienced new-
bad- things with Safari and QuickTime lately. The latter is shutting
down to often for my liking, when enjoying an online TV-service. This
started after the latest QT update.

Have you looked into the Growl plist-file, and compared it with your
Safari plist-file?

The 32/64-bit mode, should that be of any concern if you are on Intel-
chips, running Leopard prior to upgrading SL?

Beff
