I can't believe I have to join a discussion group to find out how to get this off my machine. Amazing! None of the instructions worked. I have an iMac 2.8 processor Snow Leopard 2 gigs RAM and lots of room on the hard disk. I installed Growl this morning and I don't like it and I cannot get rid of it. Please help. If there's somebody I can call, who can talk me through removal, that would be great. My phone is 856-914-0134...I'm going out for a little while and will be "in and out" over the next few days.
When I go to System Preferences and select "Growl" there's no option for Growl Preferences, removal, not letting it start up - nothing. There's "General" and "Applications" and "Display Options" and "Network" and "About." I just want it OFF. I can't figure anything other than wipe my hard disk, reinstall everything else. There's go to be an easier way. But I can't find it.
