Yes, I run LS, but disable it doesn't help here, because LS is for outgoing 
connections and is independent of the uid
the app is running ;-) .. I've checked this with LS.

Should I investigate in GrowlHelperApp or the other one?
Looks like a credential conflict, uid=0 is fine, the other not. Maybe some 
directory or node modes?

Can I run Growl in debug mode?
