I had been using Notify.io in the past, and it was great, in that it allowed me to use their API to send alerts to my desktop, however nowt he services reliability has become rather flaky and I was wondering if any one else had found another (more reliable) way of getting notifications on their desktop from various sources. I know I could do Growl UDP, but I am on my laptop all day so this is really not an option. Any thoughts? Thanks again!!!
