I'm a big fan of Growl and GrowlMail, and I install every new version as soon as I notice it. So, I downloaded GrowlMail 1.2.4 today after seeing it in MacUpdate. After some failures trying to install this new version, I went to the Growl site, found out the GrowlMail installation fixer and ran it; after this, the version 1.2.4 installer quit with a success message. However, MailGrowl is not installed: it doesn't show up on the Mail Preferences panel and there are no notifications when mail comes in. I uninstalled and reinstalled GrowlMail several times with no success (I even replaced my copy with a fresh one downloaded from Growl site).
1. I supposed that the installation fixer would delete some file(s) related to previous versions of MailGrowl. However, if – after runing the fixer – I try to reinstall MailGrowl (after runing the uninstall script) I get the same error message. This happened every time I installed MailGrowl. It seems that the receipt lurks somewhere … 2. Is it possible to get a copy of GrowlMail 1.2.3?
