unfortunately, Skype needs to make some changes to their code before it will work with Growl 1.3 :(
so the reason it's not even showing up in growl's applications list is because it's not trying to register (look in Skype prefs, you'll see the growl option under events is greyed out) hopefully they'll have an update soon!
