Oh, I didn't notice the issue tracker, silly of me! I've filed issues as 
follows:
- 316 - Pulse Growl Menubar Widget With Unread History
- 317 - Option to Hide Menubar Widget Unless Required
- 318 - Synergistic Rollup Behaviour

Hopefully they're well-described enough! I separated menubar widget hiding and 
pulsing as I think they can exist well separately since the hiding issue may 
require a bit more work anyway.
