It appears that they're checking for a process named "GrowlHelperApp" as a
way to see if growl is running, and since growl isn't a preference pane
with a helper binary but an actual application now, the process is actually
named "Growl". Note that for some time the growl framework provided its own
method of determining if growl was running, and they weren't even using
that (which is now deprecated in 1.3 since the 1.3 framework includes basic
notification support even when growl isn't running or installed).

It doesn't look actively maintained since their support forum is full of
unanswered complaints... I've brought this up on their forum
Nov5: http://www.last.fm/forum/34905/_/1015273

I'd love to fix this bug for them if I knew how to get in touch.
