Transmission is aware of the issue and they have an update in the pipeline that fixes it. Firefox is also aware of the issue and they have a patch currently under review to address their support. Dropbox has a build up on their forums (a release candidate) that is compatible with 1.3.x that i have been using for a month or more. I'm unsure of the status of MacIrssi.
