I am using a clean installation of Growl 1.3.1 from the App Store. I have completely removed all prior versions of Growl using both the uninstaller from the developer and AppCleaner.app just to make certain. I am running OS X Lion 10.7.2 on an 24" iMac with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB of Memory.
I get notifications perfectly fine from other applications such as Spotify, Dropbox, Evernote, iTunes (GrowlTunes) and Adium. When I am away, I get the roll-up notification as well. However I never get a single notification from Mail.app, which was the only reason I upgraded/purchased Growl 1.3 and 1.3.1. I was getting the same notifications with the prior versions of Growl on Lion but when I realized that Mail.app wasn't pushing notifications I started looking for a reason and discovered that Growl was now an App available through the App Store, so I purchased it. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. Some help would be greatly appreciated since I am completely at a loss and I am sick of uninstalling and reinstalling as that has not helped one little bit.
